One of the nicest SMF's I have ever handled, no flaws whatsoever  Thanks Josh!!!

I saw the pics when you posted them over on the green forum, but I'll never get tired of looking at them -- awesome knife. Do you happen to know if any of those made it out of Blade and into the hands of dealers?

Neuron,

Not sure if any dealers were able to get any or not. Probably best thing to do is contact a few of the Strider dealers and ask if they might have any inbound. Not really sure brother, wish I could help more.

Thats a great looking knife - I also saw it over on the green forum.

Can you post a pic of the spine of the knife. How does the aluminum feel in the hand? Is there a noticeable difference? Does the stop pin make contact with the aluminum or just the titanium like the G10 models?

Great score if Strider is not putting the M4 into production.

No worries, just figured I'd ask on the off chance you'd overheard something while at Blade. I'll definitely get in touch with some dealers to check. Many thanks, and congrats again on the score!

Toyz,

The aluminum feels great. The grooves in the aluminum actually give very nice traction. I'd say it is grippy, but probably slightly less than a G10 handle. Feels very, very solid in hand though. Looking as close as I can, it looks as if the stop pin touches both the titanium and aluminum sides. It locks up perfectly.

That really was a great score. Not sure if it's true or not, but I read on another forum that Strider was going to limit that M4 run to the Blade offerings only.

I hope not - I would really like to add that one to my collection.

Looks awesome, I wonder why they dont do full flat with the super steels (s110v, 3v, m4)?

The hollow ground blades are thinner (Not the same as 3/4 ground) behind the edge than the FFG blades are, also with the hollow ground blades the tips are supported better being thicker.

I picked up a black coated new SMF at blade also with the 3/4 grind. It has no other markings than the usual strider stuff. Could it be a different steel than s30?

The handles aren't alum.

If the steel isn't marked on the blade it's S30V.

Not nearly tough enough for my purposes. I'd be afraid that it would chip while I was batonning it through Thor's hammer.
kidding. :)

That is one hell of a beast! Awesome score. :)
