How about a wallet thread?

Probably the thing that I've bought almost as much as knives (not quite but I've cycled through them more than other edc items) is wallets.

I started out with a trifold as that's what my old man carried and moved to a bifold because it was slimmer. After starting my career my boss noticed I never had a wallet on me (hated carrying it) so she gifted me a smaller Fossil wallet. Two years later I had worn it out and was looking for my next wallet to give a go. I stumbled across US made wallets from smaller makers and went through several.

Right now I'm using a Craft & Lore Port Wallet as my go to EDC wallet. What are you guys carrying?

I like the leather look of the one in your pic I just can't talk myself into the open wallet ... I'm stuck in the bifold mindset.

I've just started looking for a new wallet ... It's funny you mentioned Fossil ... that is one I'm considering ... another is a Stronghold thinner bifold ... and then there is a handcrafted Bison I'm leaning towards that one ...

but was looking on here seeing if any of the talented leather craftsmen on here offer wallets too?

Or any other quality bifolds I should consider?

I recently almost changed to a Bifold but a quick experiment with an inexpensive one made me realize it's not for me.

What's you're budget? I'd highly suggest Bentley Sheaths and Leather.

Don't have a set in stone budget I guess .. I probably wouldn't pay oner $100.00 tp $150.00 but if found a really perfect wallet I may go higher.

Check Bentley out. Handmade Horween bifold with guaranteed stitching for around $100.

Bifold for me, they are thinner and easier on the back. This time around I have a Timberland from TJ Maxx, usually cost me $10-15 and last about 3-4 years. This one is over 2 years old.

Big skinny super skinny leather hybrid hardly know it's in my back pocket.

For the past several years I've been using an Allett bifold in leather. It uses sailcloth, which is very strong, won't tear, and is very thin. The regular Allett is so thin that the bulk of it comes from whatever you put in it (cards, cash, etc). The leather one is thicker, but minimally so as it uses very thin leather. I carry it front pocket, but it's very suitable for back pocket carry for those who like only a bit of back pain instead of a lot. It's not a rest-of-your-life wallet - I'm on my second one for a few years after the first one got to ratty after 5 or 6 years. But for the price, it's a good deal.

I got this wallet once from a store called Hardcore 101. Years ago my apartment complex gave out gift certificates when you renewed your lease. I gave away a few, then one time I went to the store to see what they had. I don't ride a skateboard or whatever "hardcore" stuff they cater to. The pickin's were sparse but they had a wallet for $25, which used up most of the gift certificate. I put ONE credit card in it, and immediately tore the fabric. Worthless hunk of crap. I kept the receipt for a while, because it had their slogan "If your going to ride, ride hardcore". Not "you're", but "your". It was even on billboards. No wonder they went out of business shortly after.

I tried a secrid car protector but I am back to my Harley Davidson tri fold wallet. Too many cards and pieces of paper. However over here in Europe things are different anyways. We still use coin cash a lot, so I also carry a kangaroo balls leather pouch for change.

All-ett RFID Slim Sport for the last year. A few years prior to that the non-RFID version which is still good but somehow my CC info was stolen and I got paranoid. From 2007-2014 the same leather All-ett sport (I think it was called the European or executive or something back then). The little slot above the cards is great for a micro pen.

I've been using the Secrid wallet for awhile now, since I wanted to for a decent sized EDC blade next to it in my back pocket. It is slightly better in securing my knife in the back pocket, and gives me a little more room since I like bulkier handles.

I just got myself a trifold big skinny last week. Not as nice looking as your standard leather, but it sure is thinner and tremendously more comfortable. I used to carry a leather trifold extra capacity, since Im usually carrying around about 15 cards for all sorts of purposes as well as cash in the wallet, so things got pretty thick.
