How about this for a survival case...

Gennady Kopylov - member of Russian Bladesmith Guild. More like knife artist:

This is one of a kind - modern interpretation of his majesty Czar of Russia eger (ranger? - the one who helps when czar hunting). So this is not survival but more like tool kit for top czar level hunter - 21 items.

I guess it cost more then $10000 eazy...

I like this one - dagger "No fear, No regret"

I guess the question asked not quite correct - it is like asking about Barry Galakher folder - how do you like it to cut foil backet fiberglass insulation...

Thanks, Vassili.

eger, pronounced yeger. From German Jaeger, hunter.

Thanks, Esav.

And this is more like complete tool kit for high professional - comfortably and officient, not for survival at all.

Another Russian artist has some hunter sets - not for survival but more to enjoy hunting (russian aristocrats do not need to survive (well russian live in enviroment which urban west consider as wildeness so they get used to do this in comfort - not survive (scandinavian also and australian as well as american 100 years ago etc...))):

I really like the first set, Гарнитур охотничий "На всякий случай" (2005г) . The second knife on the left is elegant, beautiful lines on that blade, and the handle.

It called - hunter set "Just in case...".

Made of damasc, silver, turquoise, garnets, wild olive nodule

Sometimes you gun guys come off as clearly clueless. Survival is not a case of fighting off an active enemy as often as it is providing food and shelter and repairing injuries.

Your Glock will not replace my Neosporin and bandaids for a cut.

This reminds me of a "Family Guy" episode. Peter takes the family to a baseball game. Little Stewie gets his first souvenier baseball from a homerun. He looks at the child next to him and offers to trade the ball for the other childs bat, as it's bat day. They trade. Little Stewie then hits the other kid in the head with the bat and knocks him out. He takes his ball back and now has both. He looks at the other, now unconcious kid and asks "What have you learned?"

Mr. Benyamin, what have you learned about having a gun and the other guy not having one? Joe

First of all, Benyamin is not my family name, it's a second personal name, like Joe Bob.

Second, what I've learned from your little story is that you think like a thug, and in a society that regulates personal possession & carry of firearms, you have no business holding them.

Were the Second Amendment properly applied, we would all carry, and if you failed to understand that lesson, your lifespan would be considerable shortened.

What a strange and un looked for response to a telling of what I thought was a very funny joke.

Your attempt to guage my personality by my relaying a Fox channel cartoon series story took you a little wide of the mark.

Actually I am retired law enforcement. I did this job for 20 years untill health reasons got me involuntarily placed on disability retirement.

I have never been a thug. I have however protected people such as yourself for the better part of my life. During that time I was stabbed twice, bitten and spit on more times than I can count, and had to live a life most consider much too unhealthy and stressful. I never failed to be polite during any encounter with anyone, whether citizen asking me the time, or citizen caught in the act of a disgusting crime. I was even polite while using force when the situation called for it.

I was even attempting to be polite with you when I put the Mr. in front of what I thought was your name. I have great respect for your knowledge and very positive and helpfull posts and answers on this site.

Perhaps we both learned a lesson about rushing to judgement here. Regards, Joe

That's an amazing kit it's got "cold war spy" written all over it. I'm particularly amused by the blowgun and darts -- it's like something out of a Bond movie!

The picture is a composite of some different views and states of assembly so it took me a while to figure out how the blowgun attaches to the "machete sheath," and it seems like the knife and fork have alternate attachments(?)

Thanks for sharing that, it is weird and vastly amusing.
