I'm looking forward to seeing some photos. Here's a thread with lots of photos from a party the kamis had last year. It was a different occasion, probably more serious than a New Year's party, but they ended up dancing anyway.

also request knitted goods whenever you can, they are made by the wives and the children of the kami and the profits go directly to them!

just gave two pairs of gloves and booties to my nephew and sister made by raj kumars wife ! they loved them!

and yeah as said before, donate with any order especially dotd or blems.

I was wondering about those gloves I see on fairtrade shops on ebay, they flip back to be fingerless gloves for more utility and are listed as hunters gloves, are they really used by nepali people or are they just a touristy thing? Also, I think it would be great if they sold knitted stuff here, I think something that would sell really really well would be if the families could make 100% wool blankets, wool blankets are well sought after by hunters/bushcrafters/campers and can cost astronomical prices in the west, if they could make some out of quality wool, made them to a similar specification as the military blankets and sold them at a fair price I can imagine them being very popular.

We see knitted stuff from time to time here. I don't recall blankets specifically but hats, scarves, etc. And very nicely done stuff too.
