how accurate is the 3-5 week build time.

And they are losing not only fanboy custumers but potential custumers. I like swamprats too but you cant say there a good company to do business with, From inaccurate wait times, long wait times, lack of communication, and the fact that your not a priority and they are willing to lose you as a custumer. They offer a good product at a good price, But they admitedly need to work on there custumer service. 11 weeks wait, with 3 to 5 lead times is criminal .

These are individual orders by individual military members or units using their own personel funds. Most order sheaths at the same time from different makers, hoping they arrive nearly at the same time. In case you forgot we the U.S. are still engaging enemies of our country globaly. I foreone appreciate a company that assists in the WAR EFFORT!!
And besides the government orders cheap quantity blades like kabars. not expensive knives with no sheaths. The military does not issue swamprats. The government is placing giant orders and they take priority over the customers who are the reason the company exist? go read suurvives knives website and it will show you what customer appreciation is.

Thats not the gorvernment making giant orders, why the 11 month wait time. Im aware this is america and we are still fighting a war or three and trying to find enemies to engage while making them in the process. I respect men who defend america and rights of its citizens, but if anything our rights are being whittled away and God knows why we are and have been in so many wars since the "terrorist wit wmd's" were wrote into the script. Soldiers need good knives I get that, but individual orders and units dont add up to 11 months and dont justify poor cumunication and lack of appreciation. The knife lovers made swamp rat and should be treated that way.

For instance i asked Josh a couple questions here on in a thread because the forum wont let me send a PM, and he didnt answer. I saw that he visited my profile but he obviously couldnt a minute to respond. I know I would have said somthing to try and ease my custumers worries but obviously Im a low priority.

I apologize to Josh and swamp rat if it seems Im just trying to give them a hard time. But I joined this forum to get answers cause im really stressed out about not knowing how long I ll be waiting on my my order and dont want to feel this way for possibly 4 months. that is an incredible amount of time to waiting on a production blade.

Actually, a good business would finish up current orders, then take the large contract and either reject or inform future customers that wait times are prolonged. You don't treat your customers like roadside %@^# just because someone else can pay more. If I'm standing behind you in line at McDonald's and you're getting one burger and I'm getting 20, do you think I should get served first? I didn't think so.

Burgers dont take weeks to make...... I dont think its a fair comparison and In my opinion I respect a business who would put serving our troops over regular customers, I'm not getting shot at! not to say you aren't justified just my two cents that those who use those knifes to serve should get first dibs!

Im down with them getting first dibs. They should just hire more people if they cant keep up with orders.

Gents, take a chill pill!!! It will all come out in the wash. I have sent knives back for a regrip and it took 6-months. You will get what you ordered and RARELY does any of the three Busse Kin fall through the cracks. When blades/hawks whatever are made to order it takes time cause they don't just take a hawk and do all the heat treat, grinding, fitting and then coat and dress the edge. They get enough orders for a specific item and then make a run and do them all. If it wasn't done like this it would inhibit production and this would effect cost. RELAX guys it's all good. I have waited months and then it made receiving it all that much better. If you just gotta have it now then watch the 2ndary market, pick one up and beat the S#!+ out of it while you are waiting for your ordered piece. Just my .02 cause I have been there myself and had to learn to RELAX.
