How are RATs sharpened?

So I recently got my first rat, and was very impressed with its sharpness. What I was wondering how they were finished. it seems as though the grind is off center a bit, so are they done roboticly, then hand finished (by a right handed person) or what?

This isn't a criticism, just curiosity.

They seem to be hand-finished, mine was off-center too, No problem though, the tolerance is pretty tight.
