How are the quality of puma knives?

German here.

Puma used to be quite The Knife Company for German hunters.
I inherited a 959 and it was (in hindsight) a wonderful knife. I sold this knife around 1997 and today I'd get more than triple for it...

In 1991 Puma was sold and since then the company slowly spiralled downwards.

They still have their "good knives" besides all the low quality crap they put their name on, but nowadays you get better knives for less money.

That knife is Puma's IP (International Production) line which is now handled by Joker of Spain usually, and are good.
Thanks! The emphasis is mine. :) Seemingly there are not many forum members with Puma IP fixed blades. Probably I am a little bit contrarian, but I am not willing to have a knife with screwed micarta handles and with 1095 or a supersteel. I have one of these though - the tiny ESEE CR2.5 with orange G10, but the only fixed blade bigger than 3" I have is this Puma and Mora Classic #3. Love the wood handles. The knife looks flawless as quality build, will see how it will be after some use. I expect to use it for cutting, slicing ,and chopping, but definitely not for batoning, or hole digging for root or stone extraction.
