How Bout Original Store Displays

I have a few displays and I'm always looking for more. It's one of my favorite things about knife collecting. I like to keep the knives set up so they're easily accessed for removal and fondling, carrying, etc.

this is the only one i have

Wow Vance! That is one of the coolest displays I've ever seen!!

Wow, just wow.

Singin50, just when I was wondering what else you might have in a sock drawer or something to show us (given the beauties you've been rolling out), you come out with this.

What visual impact, to see the knives and their display all together like this. Thanks for sharing!

-- I've probably mentioned this before, but I would love to see (even in pictures) the cardboard display from which I plucked the 99¢, black-plastic-jigged-"bone" jackknife I saved up four weeks' of allowance to buy in 1974, one primary color on white if I recall correctly. I figure my recollections and the products themselves are generic (ubiquitous?) enough to make the quest difficult if not impossible, but I'll know it when I see it....

But again, thanks for posting these images, and for the responses and pictures they've evoked from others.

Thank you all soo much for the kinds responses! I'm just trying to measure up to the quality on this site. Been a long time coming.

This one isn't original, but the knives are...

Here's another I have. I have the missing knife, it's just a old picture...

Can I echo everyones words, and especially Sarah's - WOW!! Perry - thank you so so much for your fantastic input, and everyone who has also included their great set-ups!
Glenn, I love the D/E shield - and that display Cabinet is just spectacular!

Thank you very much everyone, what a feast for the eyes!

singin50, those are really nice, but I don't see any older than the '50s, no '30s for sure. Here's one of mine, '30s for sure.DSCN0991.jpgDSCN0992.jpg

Wow that's a great setup Glenn! Also Vance and clutch carter, it's great to see these seldom seen old knife displays from the good ol days! Keep'em coming

I get what you're saying there but if you do want a "cents" symbol, hold down the ALT key while entering 0162 on the keypad on the right side of your keyboard. Release the ALT key and the "cents" symbol will appear. ¢

My .02¢ :)

Wow thanks Ed thats cool :)

I'm operating on an ipad. Not an option. The times they are a changin.

Some one a little while ago was selling a whole Queen display case with all the knives. Glass and wood case, and the whole set of knives in winterbottom derilin if I remember correctly. (I think it was a queen set?). the price for the whole set and the display only worked out to about 40 or so per knife? Literally, my first thought was about pulling them out of the case, and dropping them in a pocket. But then I was able to resist.
