How bout some MOAB chops while we are waiting...

Both the MOAB and the 1311 are nice, fully functional knives. The cutting surface/length is almost the same. The MOAB is, of course, a much more heavy knife but is only slightly longer than the 1311. The MOAB has the 'cool factor' in spades and is nothing short of a work of art, almost too pretty to use. The 1311 is more of a workhorse and smacks of the light machete heritage which allows for hours of non-fatigue fun. Wild horses could not propel me to try to cut the 1311 in half lest the sweet edge of my MOAB be compromised. Again, the Anniv. LE Battle Mistress has the optimum balance and heft of them all, the best of both worlds.

I am delighted to own these fine pieces but still grab the Basic 9 when I venture off into the field.
