Wondering if you would make a few ti neck knives. they would sell great to divers and people who are around salt water. say around a 2 inch blade with a 3 inch paracord wraped handle?? just wondering
I've done that in the past and even made a few all titanium folders for some but honestly grinding a primary grind on titanium is not something I really want to start making a habit of.
They work ok but the edge really needs to be serrated I think to actually work well and I don't much do that kind of work so I'll have to pass right now Theo.
If I change my mind though you will be the first to know ok?
I'll tell you the problem I see with the longer ones. I feel the longer they get the thicker they'll need to be and after about .080 thickness you aren't going to be bending it much by hand even heated up without first making some relief cuts to make it easier to bend, which would defeat the purpose.
I'd need some pro metal bending equipment to anything bigger I think. I might make .100 bend a couple times but I'd rather not go there. Not the way I do them. These are 100% all done by hand. I don't have any of that big arse equipment.
