How can I determine the age of a Buck 506?

Hello, im planing on buying a Buck 506. And im wanting to determine the date of manufacture. Anybody know? Oh and it does not have a date code on it.

Sand, Can you tell me some about the handle material ? ie.color . Then the stamping is it of block style or script ? DM
