How can I salvage this?

Any ideas for salvaging this? I broke it at the end of my second tempering cycle in an attempt to straighten a small warp. Should have drawn back the tang first.

Yep weld it, but be careful because high carbon steel LOVES to crack when you weld it. To help with cracking heat the steel first. Another option would be to braze a bolt onto it and make it a through tang with a nut on the butt.

If you want to weld or even braze high carbon steel preheat and post heat between 400-600 F.

or make it a ricasso-less puukoo
Shorten the blade from the tang side and drop the point a bit
