The whole thing is sentimental value.
When I was 16 sometime around 78 or 79 or so I use to work at a hardware store. Back in those day they use to sell weedeater line by the foot. So we, employees, use to measure off and cut the line with a locked blade knife that was hanging on a thin chain by the spool. Well one day someone needed some line, so I grabbed the knife with a my left hand and open the blade with my thumb and darn near slice it off. The Mngr. had to call my dad from work to take me to the hospital to get stitched up.
The next day he handed me a Schrade LB7 and said don't cut yourself this knife.
That knife has/had been a great knife and have worn it on my belt almost every time I have been hunting, camping, hiking, or just plain riding my dual purpose bike in the desert.
Well last weekend while hunting I must of lost it because when I got home it was not in the sheath on my belt. I will be heading ack to the Texas Hill Country after Christmas and hopefully I will find it.
Since then I have learned Schrade is now made in China and not the USA. I bought one in a pawn shop for $20. It is a three pin knife with no serial number. The blade has LB7 USA Uncle Henry on it. I assume since it does no say China on it this knife was made in the USA?
