How Can You Tell If Its A Convex

UMMM... convex edges do cut better read this http://url]http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii191/Blood_Grooves/fd.jpg[/URL]

Why do you think the samari sword was so good at cutting flesh. maybe you should watch modern morvals (the sharpest ep.)

UMMM.....I guess this old fart that cut meat(fast) for 20 years knows nothing compared to a 14 year old:rolleyes:

If you only knew how many people I have taught to sharpen:)

Keep knocking those bevels off if you wish, I was just trying to help someone I though needed it:)

edit- as I said the convex will give you the toughest edge. And if you have the spike like .270 GW it may even help it slice better.
But all you are doing with jeans, cardboard and a belt is stropping(polishing the edge), which will keep you from having to sharpen so often if you do it often in between sharpenings.
If you want to make it convex( rounded, not just bevel knocked down) you must use something with more grit(sandpaper) and put it on something like a mousepad or thick cardboard. Just so it gives a little.

Someone on the first page has a thread about putting convex on there thick GW. Very imformitive, check it out, and good luck!

edit- Mr Clean's thread is the one I'm talking about. It should help you see what one looks like and has some good info
