How come the izula folder wont be available in 1095 steel

In all honesty, even though I would like to see it in 1095. I will buy it regardless of the steel they use. I just love the design

I can assure you I am not ans7812, any moderator can verify this if they like.

I am not running some evil conspiracy to pump up demand for 1095 steel folder:)

suuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrre.

lol. JK broski.

I just looked (its been sitting in the safe since the day I decided that I just needed a folder that weighed less than a pound.) You are correct sir. I could have sworn it was as I had said, I seem to be going senile as I approach my thirties . I've searched my knife collection and now don't know where that thought came from. It must have come from too much browsing the interweb. Anyhow, thank you for correctifying my ever so false statement.

God bless,
Adam

No worries mate! Would love to see one in D2 with a plain edge. Would be a sweet knife for sure! Got a serrated one in Desert Tan that works well. Thinking about taking the pocket clip off and either having a belt pouch or making one for it.

Even though I have no plans on buying an Izula folder, I would love to try one. If there is a pass around that I can get into for one, I will!

Right now as far as the Izula folder goes, it looks like it will be unobtanium

Is there any doubt that Esee's warranty and customer service will be any different than it has been in the past.

I don't think so. But who sends his knife in just because they broke some micro chips out of their blade?

but I am inclined to let the product get some mud on it before I start making decisions about the quality.

I can only talk about my experience with D2 on existing knives of course: chips easy when abused, can't get a fine angled edge. It will not cause problems with a broad edge or if used for cutting only, which one preferably does with a folder anyway. Just want to point out that in my opinion there are much better steel options, even if it will work out good with the D2.

But who knows, maybe I will be surprised and they get the steel better treated than anyone else. Matter of fact, Rowen achieved exactly this with their 1095.
