I just wanted to take a second and give acknowledgement to such a unique forum and wonderful generous members.

I had made a post asking if anyone would make me some wood scales for my BK2 if I stippled a couple of their factory grivory scales. Crimsonfalcon was very generous in agreeing to do so, but did not wish to have me stipple his scales but instead pass it along to some other members (pay-it-forward). I offered to do granitestateofmind's and stjohn's. Granite did something awesome in sending a bunch of great pieces of wood to Crimson to assist in the process and show generosity back. Then today I received Stjohn's scales in the mail with a wonderful note and 2 knives. One knife was for me and one for my son Ivan. It was hand-written and even had Ivan's name in the note (not just your son). It touched my heart.

I am a member of many forums (all gun related, but here) and have never had the pleasure to know such generous, helpful folks. This is a very cool place to be and I'm thankful to be part of it.

Thanks again,
crimsonfalcon

It is a cool place, with plenty of very generous people. You are welcome, sir. I am only a member of one forum - this one. I don't feel the need to go out in the world because this feels like home.

This forum is truly a wonderful place. If you get involved you will evolve into something great. Best of luck to you and your son. MJ

Awesome story; just another example of how great these forum members are. Having been on the receiving end of some of the generosity here, I can attest to the home-like feeling of this place (even though many of us have not met face to face before). An quality product that has brought together many quality people in a real family like atmosphere. Congratulations; enjoy your scales, enjoy your knives, and especially enjoy some time outside with Ivan!

In answer to your question-
Cooler than that beer in the bottom of Fonzies Eski the next day!

Love this place and the information I've received and friends I've gained make this a very important and special place for me.

Coolest forum _ever_

edit: I forgot to add the "Damn!"

Yes, I'll second this. There are 3 other (all gun) forums that I've registered for, and I've browsed quite a few others. Each has it's own "personality" so-to-speak. This is the one that absolutely feels like home. Just enough wacky fun, without too much of the wacky prepper/government conspiracy stuff. Also the only one I've seen that inspired people to give away free stuff to other members.

Thanks for reminding us all what a great place this is to hang out!

you need to repost this in the wanted section and I am sure one of our knife makers can help you out.

Thank you for all the kind wishes to my son and I guys. He really does love being outside doing work (well okay mostly play) with our knives. Even in this single digit weather we're having, Ivan and I still manage to get outside almost nightly to ram around. Isn't that why they developed such great thermal clothing?

I've always used knives as tools, and still view them as such, but I found spirit in the BK2 and fell in love with that blade. My BK2 is the first knife I ever modded, and truly considered my own.

I agree with you GSO, some of the other sites get wacky and I also don't like the gear snobs. There's much more brotherhood on this site.

richard,
crimsonfalcon is already making me wood scales, so I got exactly what I needed/wanted.

Here folks trample over each other trying to help a fellow. Other places they trample over each other period!!

Well, don't thank me til you see them. I should have some preliminary pics on Monday for you.

Oh man crimson, I cannot wait to see the preliminary pics. Trust me I'm pumped. I can't help it. It's something I've been unable to do myself so it's extra exciting for me. Thanks again for putting in the time and effort to make these.

Robert,
Amen.

AddictedToGear,
Couldn't agree more.
