How could Case do this to me !!!!

They did do the 6225-1/2 mini coke bottle which I had been wishing for.
I only bought one though and the blades had bad recurves.
That is one of my favorite patterns. I bought several when they came out of the vault mainly due to my grandfather. My grandmother gave him one IIRC for his first Christmas back from WW2 in 1945. The blades were pretty much nonexistent by the time he passed in 92, but it was still in his pocket the day he died.

One of my favorite patterns is the copperhead. And literally about a week after I "discovered" them, Case put it in the vault. Seriously? So I feel your pain. There are a number of patterns Case does not do that I don't understand why they don't. I dreamt one night that I somehow got rich and bought Case. That was fun.

Yeah If I bought Case I'd shake the etch-a-sketch so to speak.
There'd be no more canted main blades, and I'd generally take things back towards their pre 80's heyday.
1095 would be the primary steel, old timey jigged bone colors would be prioritized over all the fruity colors ( that's where smooth synthetic comes in ), as ground would be the standard finish for SS, and of course QC would have to improve some for sure.
I wouldn't try to compete with GEC, just be a better version of Case, and at least try to offer that more conventional old worldly charm a little more often.

This is of course on top of bringing my favorite patterns back.

That’s ironic. A few weeks ago someone either here or on the Case forum posted a copperhead. I never had given them a second look before. They sparked my interest until I went looking for them and realized they weren’t being produced currently.

Sorry to hear they have retired the half whittler. I don't have an example of it, but it was on my radar. I do prefer larger knives though.

That talk of Case phasing out traditional knives is shocking. I can't believe they don't sell a mess of traditional knives.

Here's my latest, a gift from a close friend earlier this year.
