You're right. We were talking about it the night of the fight and Anderson Silva walks around at 215-220 and cuts down to 185, so his move to 205 is inevitable IMO--and I should have said that in my previous post. That's why I think GSP moving up to 185 to take on Anderson Silva would be a huge mismatch. I predict Machida will defeat Rashad Evans, dominate 205 and the next "fight of the decade" will be Silva/Machida. If Shogun defeats Chuck that will be an indication that Shogun is back and he will get a title shot because his UFC contract is rumored to be for $250,000 per fight for 4 fights (Chuck is his 3rd).

Also 155 pound guys need to start beating BJ before I predict his career is over. Clay Guida and Florian have a shot but I wouldn't be surprised to see BJ beat them both.

Heh... I did some amateur boxing (years ago). The trainers would put vaseline on our faces.

I can tell you that it didn't seem to make any difference. A punch in the nose still feels like a punch in the nose. :( It hurts.

I agree BJ is the best right now in his weight class. I don't think Guida has what it take YET to beat BJ but I think Penn/Florian would be a great fight. Florian has a great attitude and is an impressive fighter to watch.

+1, Florian is a bad dude. And he has the disposition of a champion, he could beat Penn, and I hope he does.:foot: Guida has no chance though.

No chance?! Come on, these guys are all pros. How in the world did Matt Serra beat GSP then? All in good fun, not picking a fight... :D

"No chance" was probably not the correct term, as you are correct these guys are all pros and anything could happen. I just find it unlikely. Better?:D

Yeah, but here we're all adults that love Busse #1. There it's a bunch of teenagers that make it impossible to converse and tedious to post. :p

If only we had some more pics to get us back on topic... :thumbup:
 
Was there a Busse knife used in the fight? Do any of the fighters collect or use Busse Combat knives?

If not then this thread should be located elsewhere.
