How did I do?

Complaint...well I have a complaint! The 2 made me want a 9. So, I bought a 9.

My best recommendation is to enjoy and go out and use that 2.

...Yeaaah, I will use it, but I think I'm considering a knife that I can beat up; open Packages, pop off beer caps, cutting twine, something that would be useful for everyday sort of "work man's" work, does that make since? Something durable, affordable and can get me more into knowing what will be more useful to me...an "experimental" folder if you will. Anyhoo, thanks again everyone for your input and help much appreciated!

I would still recommend any one of the knives that I previously spoke of. They will work great for what you said you would use them for.

Welcome to the forum. Great choice with the BK2. I bought it BECAUSE of it's thickness. I am a big fan of thick, wide, HD blades. For a folder, check out the Tops/Buck folder, the Ontario XM or XR series. All made in America. They are worth a look. If you want cheaper but not made in America, check out the Cold Steel Recon 1. I have beat the snot out of mine & its holding up so far. It is my EDC (every day carry) pocket blade.

The BK2 is a great knife. And as you read through the forum, you will find that it is very customizable.

Welcome Leon. Good choice and a great knife.
I don't think you'll find many complaints about it here.
Or anywhere for that matter. It's a lot of bang for the buck.

I use my Leatherman Skeletool CX daily for just those tasks described. I never leave the house without it. Just my two cents as it were.

I have a BK9 on the way in the mail. I fully expect my next knife purchase to be a BK2.

Welcome to the forum and yes, you made a good choice. My first couple Beckers were BK-2's. I love them. Great feel and balance.
