The Kershaw Groove! In terms of fulfilling a tactical role, it has it all (almost)! I'd like the blade to be a bit thicker and that's it.

It's already got:
Nice looks
Choil
Good grip
Flipper
Good lock.

A great knife. You can't go wrong with an RJ Martin/Kershaw collaboration. This one is the size of the custom Havoc.

Certainly looks unique. I'm not a big fan of flipper only operation with no thumbstuds.

Also, that blade looks to be a PITA to clean due to the grooves.

I agree about the cleaning issue. The Groove seems like a pretty knife that you would not want to use for cutting anything wet. If it ever got rust spots, it'd be hell to get them out of the valleys. That rules out food prep, hunting and fishing, combat use. Good for opening mail and cutting rope, wood, and fabric. It seems too limiting for a user, but it looks very cool.

The Tanto Groove is the first blade I bought . It is definately my most aggressive knife. The grooves are more subdued than you think and cleaning is easy. The Tanto Groove has an ideal blade for thrusting. If I was in an emergency defense situation the Tanto Groove would be the knife I would want to have with me. I would like some thumb studs as well. The knife is also on the heavy side but is all metal and has G10 Overlays. It feels solid as a rock in hand. The flipper is good but you need some wrist movement to get it out quick. It is a different kind of knife than my others, Manix 2, Blur, Mini Grip. Less of a EDC more of a Tactical, defense knife. The Sandvic is really hard to sharpen for me and the Tanto blade dosen't help. However the tanto tip is great for cutting paper and opening mail etc. I love this knife and love the fact that it is not like most edc folders.

The tanto Groove is one of my favorite knives, with the smoothest action of any. I highly recommend a Groove to anyone.

+1  I've EDC'd mine for ~3 years and waved mine and it keeps on cuttin' No problem with corrosion in the grooves.

I'm sure it slices like butter through dense, soft material (ala cheese and rubber) since those grooves should act like kullens or so it seems ;)

I thought the grooves may provide less resistance in tactical cardboard slicing and super covert-op letter opening.

I thought that might be the folder you would mention. It is a very good and underestimated folder. Kershaw needs to step it up and make a nice version with CF overlays, Ti framelock and a better bladesteel. I would be all over that.

Hell yes to the Ti framelock version with CF overlays.

That would be RJ Martin's custom Havoc. G-10 or CF overlaying a Ti framelock with an S30V blade. It also has the Roller Thrust Bearings.

This is the Dress Havoc. The Tactical Havoc has a black coated frame and blade. The tactical blade also has a multi faceted grind which is pretty cool.
