How Did I MISS this Amazing Kershaw!

Yea, that is really nice. I'll pass on the blade coating and coated frame though. And they are pretty hard to find on top of that. And I would need to get one from him, so I could tell him to back off of the detent a little.

Just received the Grey one today and WOW this thing is amazing, the fit and finish is spotless! I have been buying up Emerson productions these days and they are no match to Kernshaws in terms of F&F. It's only my second Kernshaw and imma loving it!

It doesn't look like anything else, that's for sure. And it's Kershaw, so the quality is no doubt great. It's not my thing though; too much going on with the design, too busy for me.

I kind of like the one presz posted though.

It's an R J Martin Design... who, by the way, I might get to be introduced to at Blade Show. Sorry, I had to post that somewhere; I'm excited.

I need that Dress Havoc.

Well, a Dress Havoc. The owner is safe from being burgled. (If only because he has a way nastier knife than me.)

No need to be introduced. Walk right up to the man and shake his hand. RJ is a really nice guy and very approachable. The only problem is that someone always seems to have his ear.

I had TiNi coated groove. A true gentleman's folder. It was too pretty to be used so I end up selling it as I don't believe in Safe Queens. Very nice design, secure and felt good in my hands.

I agree about the cleaning issue. The Groove seems like a pretty knife that you would not want to use for cutting anything wet. If it ever got rust spots, it'd be hell to get them out of the valleys. That rules out food prep, hunting and fishing, combat use. Good for opening mail and cutting rope, wood, and fabric. It seems too limiting for a user, but it looks very cool.

I used to wonder about the grooves in blades like this too. However, in my experience I have found the grooves in my Zing to be very helpful in cutting wet things in particular, including food. The grooves act like scallops in some chef and other slicing knives keeping thin slices from sticking to the blade. It makes a great steak knife too. Cleaning, even to any sanitary requirements is as easy as cleaning any other knife, kitchen or otherwise with little soap and water. Food grade mineral oil keeps it protected during any periods of non-use. As yet I have seen no signs of corrosion or rust in the grooves or anywhere else. I used to wonder what would happen to the edge over time, but so far it has held a great edge and only required touch-ups and still appears quite new.

Its been such a cool knife and worked so well that even if the grooves ever did give me trouble in the future, which I do not anticipate, I would probably get another one.
