I am talking about the folders of Bob Dozier. Just received my folding dagger today. What an awesome knife! Titanium handles decorated with grooves anodized blue and 4 small indentions each handle anodized gold. Uses the tab-lock system so it ain't going nowhere. The blade is 4 1/2 inches and razor sharp, both edges. This is not a symmetricaly ground dagger blade, a little less on top.
It seems that Bob Dozier is making some heavy duty folders. First the Buckhunter took me by surprise, and now the Folding Dagger. What next?

Dozier is a new find for me.

I've been hearing about him and just had the pleasure of doing a trade for an Arkansas Toothpick. Horizonal belt sheath -- it's so comfortable I forget it's there. But when I need it, its edge works hard. I had a plumbing emergency at home with the washer drain and had to rip through some sheetrock in an emergency.

I had the Toothpick on me and pulled it out and tore into the wall to get to the PVC piping behind it. I'll be damned but the thing still shaved hair after cutting through about 36" of drywall...

I'm happy!

Best,

Brian.

Just had to get back on this post and say that I am still impressed with Bob Doziers folders. I have carried both the Buckhunter, and the Folding Dagger for close to a month now and still am awed when I pull it out and snap it open. I have carried the Folding Dagger more than the BH. I think this has to do with the shape of this knife, being symmetrical. Now remember these are being carried in a belt sheath due to no pocket clip being present. If there was a pocket clip I don't think I would have carried anything else but the Dozier for the past couple of weeks! Still plan to have both retrofitted for the pocket clip when they become available.
The tab lock on both knives has been solid. The lock bar goes over to one spot and has been there for every opening. No matter how much I twist or pry against the blade it remains solid, no movement whatsoever.
Just been sitting here today, been out of work since Wednesday with bronchitis, flipping this knife open and shut, open and shut and decided to rave about Bob and his folders. Anyone looking for a heavy duty folder needs to look at www.dozierknives.com
I think that Workhorse is next on the list!

Hey Art! You just answered my question. I wanted to know if you had that Buckhunter and Folding Dagger ordered with pocket clips.

Last week I called and placed an order with Bob for a Buckhunter, and ordered mine with a clip.

You really lucked out snagging that Folding Dagger from Bob just before the show. I tried calling and they were already gone. Now I have to wait until spring/early summer for my Buckhunter. From what I hear though, I'm certain it'll be well worth the wait.

Say, do you think I could borrow one of your's until mine comes? I'll take reeally good care of it. I promise.

Dexter,
Bob ships his folders in a rather unimpresive cordura sheath. I switched over to a Triple Aught OS-1 that carries either knife. Thought about a custom leather sheath but will just wait until I can get Bob to put clips on. Will bring the Folding Dagger down to Charlotte next weekend.

Al,
No problem with that request. Anytime you want to borrow one of my blades you just come right over. Any man thats a Dozier fan can borrow my Doziers anytime. Of course I will require a deposit along with the promise of your firstborn! He He LOL. Seriously, it will be worth the wait. I have had custom folders from many makers. Carson, Osborne, and Crawford are some of my favorites. All build a strong heavy duty folder. I would rank Bob Doziers right up there, if not slightly ahead in the heavy duty part! As a matter of fact I have a Crawford Kasper under the tree, ( read my post about confiscated Kasper ) I hope!!!

Thanks for the info, Art. With a folder as big as that Workhorse is, pocket carry without a clip is out of the question. I hate that I'm going to miss seeing your Folding Dagger, there's been a change in plans. davidb415 and I are going to the knife show in Columbia, S.C. instead.
