How did they get this blade finish?

Hi guys, so I recently picked up this knife and it came with a wonderful 'forced patina' finish. The finish is dark with different shades of greens, browns, blacks, tans mixed through out. I'd love to put a similar finish on my own blade or even some production knives that I already have. Any idea what chemicals or processes were used to make this type of finish?

(Forgive me if this has already been asked. I've searched the forums but most topics only discussed boiled vinegar methods, blueing, etc.)

Looks like a mustard patina. Different thicknesses and witnesses give some cool colors...

Keep in mind, those patinas are only surface deep. If you're using you're Knife like a knife should be used, they will be scraped away and supplanted by a natural finish. Kind of a light/dark grey all over... Not that this is a bad thing.....
