Me? I found this site through my best friend when he was looking into balisongs. He's the balisong guy and im more into folders. Although im okay with balisongs myself. he told me this site is good for buying and trading with other people when you dont want to pay retail or just getting a used knife. So i decided to check it out and Voila! Im still here! ;D

What makes me keep coming back are the pictures, drama (didnt expect to find any here), and blade topics. I have yet to trade or buy anything up here on BF but maybe sometime in the future but I freaking love this site! It certainly is a great website and a past time!. I love coming up here and reading. There isnt a day in which i dont come onto this site ;D

So tell me why do you guys keep coming back? ;D

I saw this forum a long time ago while researching for something but during the point where I wasn't too into knives. Now I've gotten into them more and I'm a forum junkie so this site just popped up from my past memories. I'm more into folders as well.

I too just skimmed this site in the beginning and now im hooked...my passion for knives has grown! ;D

I was looking for a new knife and researching candidates on the web. Link after link led here. I started reading, and got hooked.

I've been here from the start and as the site evolved/morphed from the previous incarnations I'ved stayed and tried to give back to the community and the forum. I've been collectin' since I was a kid back in the 60s and somewhere in the 90s I found a site on a news feed called RecKnives which in turn opened my eyes to a whole new way to feed my addiction to knives.

What keeps me commin' back, old friends who have the same interests in knives I do and the combined knowledge available here. The sense of community I feel here of like minded people oh yeah and W&C and the Cove always keep me commin' back for more.

If your new here, my recomendation to you is read the specific subforum rules, use the search function or google search, read more, post less at first and get a feel for how this community operates.

Welcome to the forums.

I came here via the balisong sub forum several years ago and i'll hang out a while then move on but I always come back.

Found the forums by accident on google so decided to join since I was collecting knives

I've learned since joining a lot and keep learning so I keep coming back for more :)

I heard about this site from a guy on youtube and decided to check it out since i was looking for a bm42 at the time. Which i now have thanks to this site and i love it, its my favorite bali out of the ones i own so far. I keep coming back to look for other balis like the spyderfly, szabolfy and others that i couldnt buy from a retail site. I also like to look at the picture galleries of peoples collections and reviews on knives i have been looking to buy. Like what the best tomahawks and throwing knives are because ive been getting into that lately. Rarely do i not visit this site on a daily basis, im glad i found it.

Spark gets a new Cadillac Escalade every year, and my membership helps him afford it. I'm a People Person, and I do what I can to help.

Aside from that, I love knives. The looking, the fondling, the hunt, the purchase, the mailbox, and the using. Bladeforums makes those things easier, and fills in the gaps.

I also sit in front of a computer much of the day while allegedly working, and about every 5 minutes I can click over here and see whats new, look for bargains, see who is doing what, and generally feed the beast.

I found this place by accident while searching for something else. The sence of community with others who share similar interests together with the vast information of the cutlery field got me hooked. I was a 'registered user' for a year, and then supported this place since then with a paid membership.

lol so far soo good, Seems lots of you guys stumbled upon here as an accident ha! So far? It soooo damn worth it! ;D I like reading lots of these posts as well. It keeps me busy when I have some time to myself. I too recently got a paid membership!

I was on here as a guest reading the Shoptalk section for several years. Then I got to seeing the wide range of discussion groups and after reading for a few more years I got a basic user account. There are a good number of long term members who are knowledgeable in things I am interested in and their advice has been valuable. I am 46 years old and have fooled with knives since a kid when we played Daniel Boone in the woods near home. Mom caught me taking her Old Hickory kitchen knives but I was already in the mindset that a guy carried knives if he was going to be useful to anyone. To this day it just drives me nuts when a guy is trying to tear something open with teeth or keys....good grief, get some cahones and carry a knife of some kind!!

I cannot remember how I found this site, probably through a google search.

I keep coming back because of the wealth of knowledge found here. I like hearing about other people's experiences with knives, whats good, what's bad and what's new? Many of the members who have been here for a while, feel like old friends even though we have never met. I trust their recommendations and value their opinions.

Like most others,I was researching a new knife & Google brought me here.

Thats a major plus, this site has me digging for more and more ;)

It was early in 1999 and I was trying to discover what had happened to Catoctin Cutlery. They had been the imported for Spain's Aitor knives, and I wanted to find a dealer in the U.S. from which I could buy a few of them.

My Yahoo search led me to the knifeforums and within hours I found my way to this site (which then had only been opened for a few months). We were small then. Within the first 3 days I was able to read every post ever made on both the Knifeforums and the Bladeforums.

^ Almost the same thing, came up in a search I did on some Burmese Dha's I was looking for info on. It was 1999, I signed up, don't even remember what username I used then, lurked for a bit and then went on my merry way.

I needed an outlet a couple years back, decided to come back, couldn't remember what I signed up as, re-upped, went Platinum immediately and haven't looked back since.

I like the vast amount of information and opinions (even differing ones), pics and ability to blow some steam off. It's also helped my computer and typing skills.... :)

I was looking to get a sharpening system and I found a few forums, I went to one and asked a simple question and got a few stupids replies.

I decided to try this one and ... I can't seem to be able to stay away

I was a member on a few gun forums (still am, but I was, too!) and I had always loved knives and thought "Hey, I wonder if there are any good blade forums out there?" So I googled "Blade Forums" and found bladeforums.com and thought "Perfect!" Here I am! I may not be the most active member around, but I definitely love knives.
