I was searching for a khukri and found the link to Bladeforums on the Himalayan Imports website. And now, kinda like a bad rash, yall just can't get rid of me... ;):):D

What brought you here?

an academy classmate and fellow knife nut told me about bfc.

i was looking for info on busse combat, and got hooked on all the other forums.

I was Googling for reviews of the tomahawk I was thinking of buying at the time and bladeforums was one of the search results.

Reading Blade magazine, I came across an ad for Chai Cutlery. I checked out the website and at the end found that the owner, James Mattis, was a moderator at Bladeforums.

Internet search (I think it was Yahoo at the time) for Spyderco knives got me to the Spyderco forum here.

I collect WT Fuller, Harvey McBurnette as well as others, but I was googling WT and Harvey then found a link to BF, been here since. About that time I was laid up in a chair for 3 months with a broken ankle with nothing to do but read the forums. Been addicted ever since. I hope to be here long enough to top Esavs' record posts.:D

Same here. I got tired of not being able to read reviews of the Ang Khola, and broke down and registered.

I had a cheap crappy butterfly knife that was quickly self destructing.

It was a lot of fun, so I decided I needed a "real" butterfly knife, and that there must be at least a few internet forums to discuss such things.

In my searching, I found Bladeforums, which has an active and friendly balisong community. So, I signed up, stuck around, and noticed that the forum had some other sections.

I watched cutlerylover's reviews alot, and he kept talking about bladeforums, so I checked it. So far, this site has given me more information than any before it. 100% with Bladeforums.com.

Hurricane somethingorother led me to look for quality large fixed blade knives which led me to Busse Combat. One of the members there directed me to Bladeforums as it was a more active site. First thought: "There are entire forums dedicated to knives. Oh but I'm in trouble now!".

I was searching for info on a Dozier Whittler and ended up here. I'm really glad I found it as it has really opened me up to a lot of makers that I would not have been exposed to otherwise. I stay for the great knives and great characters (one of whom is the OP).:D

after getting back into knifemaking i was doing a search for knifemakers supplies and came across bladeforums. i checked out the site and decided to join.

A Google search, looking to buy more Becker BK7's, is how I found this site.

I have never joined a Forum before.
When I was searching the Web for things and would come across a Forum site, I would close it, I wouldn't even take the time to read them.
So when I come to the Blade Forums, I saw that I would have to sign up as a Member to find the information I was looking for.

The rest is History. I'm almost at 15,000 Posts, in 2 years, of my Join Date. You might say I'm hooked on Blade Forums.:D
What a great place , with so many things that interest me, with a lot of Great People. :)

I was researching on a good fixed blade, Gerber LMFII to be exact to see how it performed. Haven't been the same since.

I was looking for information, and reviews on knives. A number of searches lead to posts here.

By mistake. I was looking for pink manly-type tutus and it brought me here. :D

BFC caused me to spend too much money, meet new people, make new friends, and babysit all of you dopes. ;) :D

I always wanted a babysitter in a pink tutu. A grumpy New Jersey firefighter was not what I had in mind.

:D

A knifemaker told me about this place. Goes by name of Ed Schempp. Someday I may get around to forgiving him.

:D
