How did you get here?

Way back in 99 I got a computer. As soon as I got it out of the box, I plugged in a phone line. The first search term I put in was "knives". I ended up on "Knifeforums.com". From there I found a link here, liked it better and have been here for a couple years now.
BTW, the first post I ever read was by Marion David Poff in the Reviews and Testing forum. A review of the Cold Steel Tru-Flight thrower. I have spent many, many, great hours here. Better than any paper knife mag.

Good question. I think I saw an article in Blade Mag. and hopped (No Easter pun intended:D ) on board.

I was shopping around for something similar to an AFCK and started typing away into various search engines. One of the links took me to Cliff Stamp's review site and from there I found my way onto Bladeforums.

I used to hang out at rec. knives, knife wreck, whatever it's called these days, but there was just so much unregulated flaming, I split.

How I ended up here, I don't recall. Guess I just surfed in. So glad I did. A MUCH better place to hang and talk knives, and just other stuff too. Made some great buds here... :)

Took the I5 and then the Slausen cut off....

actually, did a search on Google a long time ago! To reach this forum, as for knives?

Well it goes back to when I was born, I remember asking the doc what knife he was using to cut my...well you know... and since then I've been interested in edge tools all my life.
My grandmother in WV remembers me sitting on a curb rubbing an old pocket knife against the concrete in an effort to sharpen it, this was before I was in first grade! So it's a life long addiction I'd say! Must have too much Iron in my blood, or not enough?

I'm betting that Gary popped out with a sheath for the doctor's knife. :D

As for me, I found this place in a Yahoo search, or something like that. I was looking for a new trout fishing folder, and wanted some help in selecting one. Boy did I get help!!!! I felt like I'd found a home away from home. :)

I started surfing the net for knives around the fall of '98. Found Knifecenter.com, and Bladeauction.com I just had to find out more about MicroTech knives, and other cool autos which were selling like hot-cakes on BladeAuction.com so I did a search, and ended up here. My wallet is empty, but I learn something new all the time during the 8-10 hours a week that I spend here.

By flying saucer. Boo.

Rec.knives came to my attention somehow, perhaps from Yahoo. That led me to Knifeforums, before there was a Bladeforums, and from there to Bladeforums.
