How difficult would it be to switch clip to other side?

Is it even possible to reinstall the pocket clip to the other side of this knife.

It probably can. If the part you want it attached to is solid, just need a bit of precision to drill & tap.
A bit of skill & right tooling, its easy.

It's definitely possible, but depending on tools available to you, MIGHT prove a little tricky. It's just a matter of drill and tapping for the clip screws in whatever position you'd like the clip.

That said, taps of that size are quite fragile and prone to breaking, so you want to be careful and use a rigid setup that's going to be straight and square to the bolster.

It wouldn't be impossible to hand tap, but a tapping jig/fixture would decrease your chance of breakage.

You would drill the existing holes all the way through the bolsters with a tap drill the right size ( probably a #50 for 2-56 screws), and then tap the opposite bolster from the other side. Once the clip was switched, put the old screws back in the old bolster to cover the holes. The old screws could also be ground flush and buffed to make the old holes less noticeable.

The tap and drill will cost about $10. You will need a slow speed drill press with a good vise. A tapping head would be good, but they could be done by hand if you are already good at tapping. If you break a tap doing this it will be a big problem. As an alternative, you could have a gun shop drill and tap the holes for you.

Thanks, guys.
Now, can anyone tell me how I can figure out what screw size and thread the screws are? I'm not used to working with screws this small.

Clip screws are often in the 2-56 range. If I had to guess, that's what I'd say those are. If you have a pitch gauge and a set of calipers, you can check pretty easily.

Thanks, Drew. I do have some calipers and I'll look into finding me a pitch gauge as I have a feeling that once I get started tinkering it's liable to lead to more and more.
