How do I drop my Temperence lower on my belt?

I am looking for any advice on lowering my Spyderco Temperence and its kydex sheath lower on my belt. I would like the butt of the handle to ride even with the top of my belt. The kydex sheath came with a Tec-Lok belt attachment but if I use it, the knife handle rides way to high for hunting/camping/fishing carry. I know this is a tactical knife and as such is designed to be carried that way but, I chose it for its feel, steel, and blade shape and it fit my needs perfectly, except, for the carry aspect. Right now, I took the belt loop off of the sheath for my Cold Steel Master Hunter and am using it but, I need a more permanent solution.

Use a medium sized carabiner.

coulnt you make an extention that mates with the sheath and the tec-lok ? perhaps another piece of kydex.
