Can I?

Canister Damascus. The black line is a solid core of Cru forge v. I know how I did this, wild with my press and one side hotter than the other.

What I don't know is if I can fix it with a hammer. This dip in the middle in particular.

Right or wrong I think I'm going to grind the outside to follow the core so the entire blade is wonky, then try to forge it flat without crumbling it apart.

Can't see how to forge it straight without getting some material out of the way

Nice, that's what I was going to recommend you do. Happens often with san mai that a little adjustment like that is necessary. Cool blade! CruV makes the best cores...

Okay, take some layout dye and cover the entire edge. Now redraw ur line right down the middle. Dead nuts accurate.
