I have got to get one of those AK Bowies!

Who do I need to call or email?

How can I pay?

I know it is probably something obvious, but questions are what this forum is for.

Thank you!

But how does it work if I see something on the specials, like the one today, that I like?

Is there a separate process for that?

One of you guys has probably snatched up today's Bowie but there is always next time.

Nice to see you over here, Vandro:thumbup::D

If you have any further questions regarding payment, just send Yangdu an email at himimp@aol.com. She is most pleasant to do business with:)

The AK bowie is a personal favorite of mine. Great choice!

Damn you Steely... now I have an AK Bowie on the way too!

And it looks like I'm going for another BAS, this one with a horn handle. I love the one I have with a wood handle, but I believe the actual Gurkha issue have horn, so I want it as close to official as possible.

I hate... errrr LOVE this place!

Yeah I got today's Bowie. The way deal of the day works is you see what you want and you jump as fast as you can be emailing HIMIMP@aol.com and screaming, "I'LL TAKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

When you do that, provide a mailing address and how you would like to pay. If you get to it first, Yangdu will email you and tell you to empty your wallet. :D

My advice is to run away as fast as you can, this place is dangerous... I've been here about three weeks now and today it looks like I'm up to 12 blades, only two ordered outright, the rest have been deals of the day... see, DANGEROUS!

Dude...If this is WITHOUT a job, I'd hate to see you in action WITH a job! you must have gotten your "economy stimulator" check early... grin.

I think I found a deal from last week that is still running. One for $145. Yeah, that AK Bowie just hit me when I saw it. I can't stop now, dude, I still need to nab a khukuri or two....or three.

Suggestions?

Like I said before, single... never married... no kids... rent, don't own. Pretty low overhead. I have a student loan that is like 3% interest a year and a car payment under $300 a month - and when it is paid off in a year I'll drive it into the ground before buying again. But yeah, I have to stop! I blame Steely and you for saying I have to have this and that! :grumpy:

Hell I have a firearms collection that has to be worth $30k easy... many unfired. I see it, its neat, I buy it. I learned my lesson from the last AWB. If you want it, get it when you can. You never know when you won't be able to. Hell if I were 10 years older I would have bought a ton of registered auto sears back in 1986 when the GCA was amended to prohibit new civilian machine guns. I would be sitting on a fortune now. A sear was a couple bucks, the tax stamp was $200. The sears sell for $5-$10k now depending on the firearm they go in.

In any event, yeah... I do need to stop, but we are quickly running out of things I could buy. :D

My first was a WWII and its nice... even bought a rare Kumar WWII with a custom scabbard afterwards.

Others may disagree with me, but here are my thoughts.
British Army Service
Pen
Ang Khola
Bowie if it speaks to you

That's a good mix.

The pen is awesome, small, well balanced, heavy enough to be a good utility knife for hunting/back-packing/hiking.

Ang Khola is heavy and balanced for chopping... its a work horse!

Bowie... because you want it and the other guys rave

British Army Service because it is the current issue of the Gurkhas. It also just seems to be a great blending of size, balance, heft... hard to go wrong.

Just my two cents.

Keep on eye on the Deal of the Day. It's a good introduction to a wide variety of what's available, and at good prices. You also get great pictures and descriptions to help you focus on what you really can use.

AK Bowies are a fairly frequent offering. :)

Una pregunta mas. It says on the website for HI that I can specify if I want a heavier, thicker, lighter, etc. knife.

Can I specify the handle length or change the type?

Do the options effect the price?

email Auntie Yangdu and ask what she has. Yes, you can custom order and it might cost more, it might also take awhile given these are made in Nepal and regional issues can effect production and transit times. Best to see what she has on hand first in my opinion and take it from there.

As I said before, I have a couple of khuks on order. I have no idea when they will be done. I don't really care, I ummm might have a khuk or two here already. I look forward to the day they get here, and I just fondle what I have in the meanwhile.

Good luck! And yeah I've seen 2 or 3 Bowies on Deal of the Day over the past couple weeks. Just keep checking back and be happy I bought mine today... now I won't go after the one you want.

Yeah, that would be a fight to see over that knife.

Is the shipping included in the sale price for the deals and the site ordered products?
