How do I post my an Avatar.

Could someone please inform as to how I go about posting an avatar or picture for my profile. Avatars are small graphics that are displayed under your username whenever you post.
 
I think you'll find most here know what an avatar is. Your first step is to become a paying member.

Thank you very much - I see now in the FAQ section. Should have read. I am very new to this. Anyway thanks so much for the quick response.
 
No problem. Reminded me to finally buy a membership--so I could put up my avatar.
 
Now all you need to do is go into your control panel and change your user group to reflect your paying status. ;)
