How Do I Remove SERE 2000 Thumb Stud?

OK, the title says it all.
I assume they unscrew, but are they regular or reverse threads?

Lenny, they are standard thread. I used a couple pair of vise grips on each side. To keep from marring them, I used pieces of leather to pad the jaws. It took a little effort to get it started, but nothing too difficult.
