How do I super charge my LED Flash Light?

Ok. I'm sold on the malkoff M61. Now I have to decide if I want max lumens at 260 with 2 hours run time... or a more practical 175 lumens with 5 hour run time. 175 lumens is certainly a lot. My SF now is only 80.

Also keep in mind the human eye needs roughly a 50% increase in brightness to see something as being brighter.

Sooo... at 175 lumens, it should be noticeably brighter than the 80 lumens I have? I'd go for the 260 lumens, but I dont want to replace batteries after one night around camp.

Are there any other Malkoffs with higher output and longer run time?

For a flashlight to look twice as bright it has have four times as many lumens. if you have 10 lumens for it to look twice as bright you need 40 lumens. Candel power forum is full of info on flashlights.

Ok ok... I'll check out the malkoff drop ins. Is the M61 @ 260 lumen decent? Why am I seeing 500-1000 lumens on some of these previously mentioned drop ins?

Im guessing they're designed for imr batteries which can discharge at 6+C for crazy but short outputs. Cpf is the place to look.
