How do I take teflon off iron cookware ?

My approach to these things is I never use aluminium cookware, I never buy deodorant with aluminium in it and I only have 1 teflon pan I use very infrequently for making scrambled eggs and omelettes (relatively low heat)

The rest are stainless steel.

I have been looking for a cast iron frying pan but as you have observed they all seem to be teflon coated now, even the expensive ones. What is the point of paying the extra for a heavy duty pan if you are going to coat it in a fragile coating?

As for antacids I infrequently use Zantac, other than that I watch my weight and watch what I eat...bad diet and being overweight are often causes of heartburn

I can remember a story of a queen being made a set of cutlery out of aluminum and at the time it cost more than gold because it was so rare .No matter what I will tend to stay away from it . There are enough alternatives .

I believe that was an aluminium teaspoon given to Queen Victoria. At the time it cost more to extract aluminium than to mine gold because of the massive amount of electricity required to extract it.
