how do i turn off the thing that keeps sending me email when someone replies to a post iv posted in?

when you post, there are a few little check-boxes below the text box (where you type your message). one of them says "Email Notification" next to it. if you don't want email notification, simply make sure that the box is unchecked.

You can also try Edit Options from User CP to change default setting for Email Notification. This way you don't have to un-tick the box everytime.
