How do inlays hold up for EDC?

It’s not a matter of “saving” it. It’s the point that the wood will get torn up in my pocket due to the giant key ring I carry (think George Costanza’a wallet, only keys). To me, it’s a beautiful piece of work which I’d rather not destroy. Plain titanium might get scratched, but it won’t gouge like I expect wood will. So I’d rather sell it for at least close to what I paid now, while its pristine, and buy a PJ titanium. As we are all here talking about $500 pocket knives, we can all assume it’s not a matter of having the means. It’s the principal, at least to me.
I have to say I totally agree. I have a UG 31 and a small Elder that I only cary around the house and use to cut cardboard because I can't bring myself to get them all messed up. I know they are made to be used. I really would like to get a Bog Oak like you have but am worried that once I got it I would not use it. I have a PJ Inkosi for when I am outside or camping.

Thanks for posting. I definitely appreciate the input. However I just picked up a CF micarta 31 so my bog oak 31 is going on the proverbial chopping block soon.

That’s bomb proof. I got my buddy to buy one, very nice knife. I at one time owned a seb 21 cf and loved it.

I’m carrying my small bog oak 21 today. I’ve had it for about a year, and it’s probably my most carried CRK. I clip it to the inside of my right front pocket where it shares space with keys, earplugs in a metal case, SAK, and various other things that I shove in there throughout the day. I don’t abuse it but definitely don’t baby it either.

So far the inlays have held up perfectly – no scratching or chipping or any other issues. DC959686-A274-4F3C-AE33-6BBEBEC7FBA6.jpeg
