How do non-locking pocket knives not fold onto your fingers when using the knife to cut or open something? Is it because of the direction of force you're applying? Since you're not putting the pressure on the spine of the knife blade, but instead on the sharp edge of the knife blade?

I don't mean to be preachy, but those of us who have been here awhile know that sometimes new members don't always receive much in the way of patience and understanding. Sometimes it's easy to jump on those who are new to knives, know less than we do, or simply have different tastes in knives...

Don’t try to stab holes in car doors (unless you have an AD10) and you should be fine.
