Following on from my previous thread " What happened to the Man-track", Just wondering if anyone knows how they come to be called MT, BG.....etc? What do these mysterious letters stand for?:)

The designations come from very personal experiences, and/or names of people that they wish to remember for one reason or another. As to what they mean, well, they are personal to Mick and Duane. They choose not to share the strories and explainations in public because it IS very personal to them. Just accept the fact that you might not know what the designation stands for, but it is named after something or someone worth while. Please don't ask on these forums over and over for an explaination. It's not worth it.

Just asking!:) Perhaps I should have done a search first. It is in fact the first time I have asked this question and having recieved an answer I won't ask it again. The thread "what happened to the man-track?" didn't address where the names of any models came from, all I was asking was what had happened to it as I saw it in the new knives section a while ago (and a background picture of it on badassknives.com) and that is all I've heard of it. I appreciate that the names of Strider's knives may be personal, now, but until I asked I had no idea. Hey we live and learn. Sorry if I was out of line.:)

I did not intend to convey that you were either out of line nor repeatedly asking. I intended to mean "don't be one of the people that repeatedly ask over and over what does your designation mean." They are out there. Enjoy the forum.

Sorry I should have done a search and I can understand how it could be really annoying to answer the same question a thousand or so times.:) No harm No foul.:D :D
