What tools, techniques, methods, etc does Chris Reeves Knives use to put the convex edge on their knives?

They show the sharpening process in the Chris Reeve DVD (well worth picking up) but the tools are mainly a grinding wheel, a type of buffing wheel and good hand eye co-ordination.
