how do they make these little key chain tools?

you know the lttle tools that have like hex head cuts in them and screwdriver ends and such. do they use some kind of laser cutter or big press or something?

Remington made them with powder metal in a die.

I'd love to know some small-time shop solutions for this quandary. I'd like to integrate a #2 Phillips bit into some of my folders.

Perhaps I am not understanding the question properly, but I would say those sort of parts would need to be forged or ground out of a tough grade of tool steel.
