How do you carry you EDC gadgets?

I'm re-thinking my EDC - too much stuff, not enough pockets. The BM707, BM330 and Vic Scientist have to share time in the front pocket depending on my mood, with the keys & change in the other. I can't carry on my belt at work - too many scared sheeple (you know how it is). I had planned to clip my new Arc AAA light to my keyring, but I hate to beat it up with the keys. Does anyone know of an inside-the-pocket sheath or pouch for a small knife, light, lighter, pen, etc?

I don't carry much. A native in the front right pocket sometimes, a SAK of some sort in the change pocket, or a SAK laying vertical next to my wallet in my back rear pocket. Sometimes a Manix clipped to my back right pocket.

My usual EDC is just a SAK of some sort, maybe a lighter, maybe a wallet, maybe some keys. A lot of times I have nothing in my pocket but a Bantam.

I don't really carry that much, either. For me, my folder is clipped in my right front pocket, my SAK goes in one of my other pockets, and my Mini Prybaby is on my keychain.

EDC knife is clipped in my right front pocket. Flashlight(s) and other gear have been in my EDC backpack, but I've got a Pack Rat on order and think it may make a good way to carry lots of little stuff.

I dont like having alot of stuff in my pockets, even if I have alot of pockets (like cargo pants) I dont like filling them. I usually just have a SAK in a belt pouch and maybe a folder. If i carry my gerber infinty LED light then I just clip it to the side of my belt pouch.

Great links! Now I'm going to have another storage/transportation OCD for carrying my guns, knives, flashlights, etc...

Anything I don't want in my pockets I carry in a "man bag". I forget the brand. I picked it up at the local surplus store for about $30. Olive drab with a divided main pocket, front pocket and two smaller side pockets. The whole thing is about 10"x6"x4". Flashlight, SAK, braided sling, wallet, checkbook, pens, folding lint brush, band aids, allergy pills, earplugs, a couple of my wife's diabetes pills. Still room for more stuff. It looks about the same as it did when I got it last year. Maybe not as tough as a Maxpedition but way tougher than a Wal-Mart waistpack. YMMV

I tend to carry quite a bit on me.

My Blackberry and Swisschamp are clipped to my belt next to each other. My EDC knife sits IWB between the two. As an aside, according to Mens Health you'll never get laid with gadgets hanging on your belt... Urban legend, totally false;)

For the rest, I made a small leather case that I use to carry a space pen, USB drive, lighter, FireFly flashlight and spare change.

Oh, I also have a PocketWrench in the same pouch as the Swisschamp.

I'm of the less is better school of thought when it comes to pocket carry. BM710 clipped to my right pocket, spare change and cell phone in that pocket. Wallet and Vic Soldier in the other pocket. Photon III on the keys.

I have spare keys in my wallet (Spec Ops THE Wallet Jr.... best wallet I've ever had).

Gets me through the day very well and I never feel "under-geared." The 710 handles all the tough cutting duties and the Soldier cuts food. The Photon helps me find the keyhole in the dark.

Paracord can do wonders.

Agreed, although i don't use paracord, i do use various types of cordage i have laying around. Tonight for instance, i lashed a small LED light to a short length of cord and looped it around my belt. I usually carry a knife or multitool on a belt sheath, which frees up pocket space for other items. Keys can be lashed to cord as well, but they jangle too much. Also, there are a number of lighter cases with lanyard holes, which are handy. I've been toying with the idea of putting a few items on a cord around my neck, the lighter being the most likely.

Tonight:

Small Bic in that little pocket they put on jeans, above the right front one (watch pocket?)
LED on cord looped to belt (used it alot tonight, easy to reach)
CRKT in right back pocket
Small comb in other back pocket
Cigarettes in left front pocket
Cell phone and keys in right front pocket

I did the "man bag" thing for years until recently. I simply called it a purse. It was a modestly sized camera bag with a shoulder strap, just big enough to hold perhaps a SLR and 50mm lens. I had my cell, wallet, keys, PDA, knife, pen, paper, and some small odds and ends. It worked quite well. I could have easily carried a Glock 17 with no problems. Never raised an eyebrow.

I've since slimmed down to only pockets--no bag at all. Just carry the wallet, keys, knife, and cell if I have to. Oh, and a bandana, always, folded in the back pocket.

I switched to a Pack Rat recently. My core stuff I carry in the Pack Rat. I carry the Pack Rat by itself much of the time, including at work ... I have a foldable keyboard and PDA in there, so I can take notes in Word without lugging around my laptop. I drop the Pack Rat in my briefcase when I absolutely have to have the laptop. When I'm out and about, if I need more than the PackRat, I drop it into my REI Mini. Or I"ll drop the Pack Rat into my backpack, or gym bag, or whatever.

Working out pretty nice, not too big, lets you carry a reasonable amount of stuff, and easily drops into a bigger bag when you need to carry more.

I wear pants or shorts with cargo pockets. Also, whenever I shop for pants the first thing I do is stick my hands in the pockets to see how roomy they are. Many cheap pants have tiny pockets. Small pockets are highly annoying!

I don't carry a whole lot compared to some of the EDC lists I've read here. Wallet, keys with Photon, and bullet pen in the front right. Cell phone and SAK in the front left. Small notepad in the left cargo. Superknife in the right cargo during work. Small locking folder clipped to the back right.

That's exactly how I envisioned it. Looking forward to the shift.
