How do you carry your 110/111?

I´ve got a little question to all of you carrying a 110 or 111 for EDC. Do you use a leather sheat or is it in one of your pockets?

I love the 110 (got a 111 right now) very much, but it´s to heavy for my jeans and I can not get used to a leather sheat on my belt. (Same problem with heavy tools like LM or Vic)

Please give me some input, what different ways you´ve found to carry your 110 every day.

Regards

I am a BIG fella so I can get away with a 110 in my pocket and often do. I have used the standard Buck leather sheath. But I like the Buck nylon sheaths better. But most of all I use a "Vess" style open leather sheath with great success!

When I carry a 110, I use the leather holster that comes with it, but I cut the flap off to make it a drop-in type holster, and colored the "wound" with a Sharpie.

I don't mind having something on my belt and I have never carried any of my 110/111's in a pocket. I will always carry one of these.

I carry mine like Plumer.I don't like a large kife in my front pocket.Back pocket is ok.The sheath is right for me.I've seen someone post a picture of a horizontal carry sheath.DM

L/F pocket with my change-you get use to it. I had been carrying a 500 and when my wife gave me the 110 I figgered it to be too big. Now it feels odd having anything smaller. Good counterweight:D

I tried the horizontal carry, but it didn't work for me. I carry my cell phone on the same side in front of the sheath and can't get the knife out that way. I tried the cell phone behind, but that didn't work for me either.:thumbdn:

To directly answer your question, "Yes".

You seem interested in pocket carry, here's a pic of what I use when I don't want a 110 hanging off the belt. Fits in either my back or front pocket and keeps the tool upright.

In German it's called a holdzjagerfromfloppin sheath.

Typically, I would use a Buck codura horizontal or my open top. My open top is the black version of Plumberdv's third sheath in the pic of post #6. Carrys with a slight forward tilt on the belt. Now that I think of it, I have been using that sheath exclusively since the day I got it a few months ago. Really like it.

If I have to wear grown up clothes (slacks) or wear jeans where sheeple are present, I put my 110 with holdzjagerfromfloppin in my pocket.

I like the traditional black leather sheath -- it just seems to 'fit' the classic 110 -- but the Cordura one is less obtrusive, being a little more compact, and just as secure. So I usually end up carrying my 110 (blade autographed by C.J. Buck:D) in the Cordura sheath. Once in a while tho' when feeling nostalgic I switch to the leather one. Now, when I get that Custom Shop 110 in S30V...

When I do carry one of my "show off" Bucks, I use a cordura sheath. I'm not sure, but I just think they would be easier on the finish than the leather.

Whatever sheath you use, be certain to put one of those sticky felt dots on the inside snap (inside the sheath where the knife would rub against it and gouge it. Been there. Done that. :().

I have thought about doing this before, but I did not know what to do with the button on the sheath.

What did you do, cut it out? Do you have any pics?

Thanks,
John

Left, rear pocket. The weight doesn't bother me at all.

I'm not one for sheaths when it comes to EDC (I usually only wear a sheath on my belt when doing yardwork), but I'd definitely use the one all the way to the right...gorgeous! Where'd you get it?

I'm not Plumberdv, and, please don't call me "Shirley"...ha ha, crack myself up!

Couldn't PM you, but if I could, I'd tell you about this bay where you can fish for these.
I have it in black.
Mine has an angled leather belt loop. They also are available with metal clip.

Great photos of your 110 sheaths Plum.! I have a black one like your third from the left. I too use a cordura many times. I also use a light tan leather sheath for a 110, 112 and 701 that were made by Buck in the early 80's - 1983 I believe.

I have three sheaths made by the same company.

The one in the center rides straight up and down, the outside one tilt forward. I really like the dressy look that they have.
