Main use knife right now a Kershaw Random Leek, clipped in the front right pocket. With a bead fob to draw it out with, works great but has been known to come free and slip down into the cushions of my chair at home but otherwise has stayed put.
Here is a shot of that bead fob, leather is braided near the knife to prevent it from sliding in the path of the blade, the leather then goes into the bead, out and around and then back through again, self locking and works great! My daughter made that bead in shop class, very handy!
Smaller use knife, Case stag handled wharncliff slip joint folder, vertical leather belt sheath, works great and is small enough not to garner too much attention. A lot of guys go with a horizontal sheath to be more discreet.
Now I once had a neck sheath, a VERY nice knife by Randy Martin, his sheaths use rare earth magnets to hold the knife inside...short story, on the way back from CT visiting Randy at his old home, I had a problem on the Mass Pike, walked up to a State Trooper's car in the rain and leaned in to ask for assistance when the knife, hanging from my neck beneath my shirt, swung close to his door and went THUNK! My shirt was stuck to his door! Luckily he didn't notice the THUNK nor the fact that my shirt was shaped like a pyramid from my chest until I leaned back far enough to release the hold of the magnets, man that would have been TOUGH to explain!
SO, that along with the trouble of getting the knife out from beneath my shirt and not slicing anything, I quit carrying a neck sheath
