How do you carry your EDC??

The only knief I carry in a sheath (at the moment), is my Mission MPF 1. I DO carry it clipped to my pocket too.

I have been carrying my Buck 560 in a cordura sheath on my belt (vertically on the right side, at the back of my right forearm).

I also do not like the feel of a heavy folder bouncing around in my pocket. Recently I picked up a couple of Benchmade Mini Griptilians, and once they are clipped to my pocket, I don't even notice they are there. The pocket clips seem to keep them secure. I also picked up a Spyderco Native, and although it is a little bigger the the Mini Grips, it also goes unnoticed clipped to my pocket. Seems like the 3.5in folders just aren't as comfortable in the pocket.

It really depends on what I'm carrying. I carry traditional style lockbacks, like the Buck 110 and large locking SAKs in belt sheaths. Tacticals with a clip go inside my right front pocket, the pants I wear have a small pocket sewn inside the right front pocket (I guess it's some sort of watch pocket) that allows me to carry folders out of sight and protected from pocket lint and scratches but easily accesible.

I carry my SwissTool Spirit in my left front pocket or my back left pocket, in a leather slip case. I carry the ratchet and corkscrew for the Spirit in another slip case in my front left pocket. If I know I'll be using the multitool a lot, I'll carry it in a belt sheath.

If I'm wearing a shirt (I almost always do) a thin SAK like an Electrician, alox Cadet or Compact goes in my shirt pocket with my cellphone. When I'm not carrying a slim SAK in my shirt pocket, I have one in my right front pocket attached to a Victorinox stainless steel belt hanger, it's usually a Huntsman, but I rotate a lot.

Small SAKs (58mm and 74mm) go in the carabiner that holds my keys.

Pocket fixed blades replace the tactical folder in the hidden pocket.

My folders go in my pockets, and my fixed blade goes IWB at about 5 o'clock, or 4'clock, somewhere around tea time in any case.:)

I usually carry my bigger knives like chinook or vaquero IWB. I carry my smaller knives (3 inches blade and below) in the RF pocket.

I carry IWB (very discreet) my CRKT M-21 04 or BM Skirmish and my Leatherman Surge w accesories horizontal on the belt. Fixed blades I like to carry horizontal on the small of the back.

I like clipping my knives in my watch pocket , if it fits. If not, it will go in my right front pocket. My SAK just goes in my pocket.

90% of the time I clip them in my watch pocket on my jeans.

I prefer tip up carry for most knives, but tip down doesn't bother me at all.

the other 10% is loose pocket...I like to have a lanyard and use a small (2 inch blade) pocket knife...the lanyard makes it really easy to find it in my pocket. This is almost exclusively the realm of my Lightfoot folder.

I'm usually wearing pants with multiple pockets, so I find one with nothing else in it and clip inside the pocket. This keeps the knife out of my way when digging out wallet, cellphone, kleenex, etc.

Since noone around here carries knives, even high-carry knives don't seem to register on people - they just don't connect the dots mentally.

Post 911 I started IWB carry. Even in todays "searches prior to entry" it is overlooked.
That's strange. Wouldn't work in Baltimore or DC. I generally just carry openly, clipped to right front pocket, and I've never been hassled (since I don't give authority figures any reason to think that I'm anything but a law-abiding citizen). However, our security (in areas where it's applicable) is generally tighter than that. If you have a knife on your person in an area where such things are heavily regulated (certain buildings, etc.), it will be found.

Peace.
Alex.
