How do you carry your keys?

My system works OK, but I'm not 100% satisfied.

I have a Fossil keychain that has a leather band with a claw hook on the end. It's nice because I can clip it to either the top of my pocket or a belt loop and keep my keys in my pocket without fear of losing them. I have 5 keys (absolutely need all of them), a Swiss-Tech Utilikey, and a Photon light (soon to be replaced by an Arc AAA).

What do you guys use for your keys?

I have a US Army biner that I clip to my beltloop so that way I can never lose track of my keys. Attached to that is a Photon III and a Kershaw Chive.

I carry mine on a metal Kubaton and usually have it in my hand with my thumb on top to drive it. A hammer fist to the face with this dircting the impact is a fight stopper.

Carabiner on my belt loop. Unless I'm trying took nice, there is no better way to have them close at hand. I have my house/locks/safe key(s), car keys, remote, and magic fob, Arc AAA, and SOG Crosscut on there. Very handy.

I carry a fair amount of keys and other gear on my keyrings. It's all a little hefty to be trusted to a belt loop, so I use a large-ish carabiner clipped directly onto my belt. It's not very elegant, but it works.

personally I use a chain.

I carry my keys on an Asp 9" collapsable baton. Keeps them handy & the baton is long enough & heavy enough so they don't
get lost.

Yes it is. Asp vertical in pocket, keys hanging outside the pocket.
I've carried it so long I don't notice it's there, I do notice when it ISN'T ;) .

I tend to go for the janitorial look. The metal clip on the belt is much more secure than a belt loop. I have lost belt loops before, but never an OKAY'S KEY SAFE.

I have tried the biner on the beltloop before, and the biner is not part of the keyring, and gets upside down, and it did not always open the same way. The keys also got separated from the biner sometimes when i took it all off the beltloop. I would rather a snap hook or something that has a separate loop or hook truly attached to the ring, not just a single open loop clipped around the ring and around a baltloop or some other tie point. Something that always opens on the same side at the same distance from the belt, easy to always open without looking.

Yeah grommit that's why I don't like biners on my keychain either.
I can't say that I like the janitorial look too much, though. :)
Still looking for the right system for me....

my keys are on a 2ft piece of para-cord, folded in 1/2 and tied into knots, which holds 2 swivel latches with split rings and a SAK ambassador.

I keep it in my right pocket sometimes in my backpack.

just today I took off my micro light, and put it on the rear view mirror. I just don't use it on my key chain.

Benchmade AFCK AXIS Lock D2 steel (sorry I forgot the model number)with an Arc LS on my keychain. If Im in jeans/casual I also carry my e2e.

I have two sets of keys, one with my car keys with remote lock/unlock fob and a Photon Microlight II, the other with my work and house keys. I carry both sets in one pocket of a leather purse. I have been carrying a purse for c. 12 years. I carry with me, every day, the two sets of keys, large wallet, parking key card, regular glasses, prescription sunglasses, Leatherman Wave, PDA, pocket knife, money clip with cash, and often some other stuff like eye drops or meds. The pocket knife goes in my left front pocket and the cash in my right front pocket. Everything else goes in the purse. I carry it with the strap over my head and on the opposite shoulder, so that I'm not shrugging my other shoulder up to keep the purse on. I don't know how guys carry everthing without a purse.

I have maybe 6 keys, a LED light, a SAK and a Kubotan. I attached a 2 foot piece of paracord for flailing action. Also, if you leave the cord hanging out of your pocket, you can retrieve your keys without having to dig around.

dont you guys worry about pick pockets? giving the pick pockets a nice handle on your keys is just making it easier for them!

I have a leatherman micra on my keyring and just keep them in the bottom of my pocket not tied on or anything, but i dont buy trousers without making sure they have nice deep pockets. Ive never had any problems carrying them like this

Wierd, I was about to post the same question.

I've been thinking about it a lot lately.

My current solution is:
House keys/work keys/other keys on one keychain with LM P4 Squirt and a traser (blue)

The other set is car keys and a ARC AAA

Seems to work pretty good. Still looking for the perfect solution. At least it makes it easier to find the right key.

Guess I just have WAY too many keys. :)
