how do you carry your knives?

I'm another right back pocket guy, but I may have been converted by this thread to a waistband guy--at least I'm going to try it. I've never lost a knife but I've had a couple drop out of my back pocket. The waist band seems less apt to receive the updward force of my sagging butt as I sit down. I'm also thinking that the waistband will provide some additional retention. I work in a corporate environment. Although no one has ever commented on the knife in my pocket, it is quite apparent. I'm thinking this method may be a little more discreet. Thanks.

Belt carry for my fixed blade and folding Buck, the Spyderco rides in my front left pocket.

I usually carry 2 but sometimes 3 with cargo pants/shorts or carpenter jeans, I do EDC carry a GLOCK 30SF 4:00 OWB or IWB with a spare mag at 8:00, large folder(ZT300 or ZT561) or large multi-tool(Surge) on my left side next to my mag pouch in a sheath, Skeletool in my watch pocket, and usually a serrated Spidy tenacious or other beater blade in the right front pocket if I know I will be cutting a lot of stuff, next to my little RRT-0 flashlight. I don't normally carry everything all the time, add phone, wallet and keys, and I run out of realestate on my belt and pockets, especially when It's too warm for a jacket, but at minimum a blade and flashlight are with me all the time, although if working on something I might have as many tools as I can carry on me.

left pocket has my knife, right pocket or hip my leatherman, on my back on the belt a SPC little boy utility fixed blade, and a spydie kiwi on my keys

and sometimes a file knife in my back pocket (just depends what im doing)

I will also "pirate carry" a knife every once in awhile, you should see the looks I get:D

Typically front right pocket clipped, though I went through a period of inside waistband right side. I like both but definitely easier access to right front pocket. Only drawback is having to lug around other crap... Usually have two phones in front right pocket along with blade, then left front pocket I have wallet, Fisher Bullet Space pen, keys and flashlight.

I'm right handed but have always carried knives with clips in my left front pocket, I really dont have a good reason why. If I carry a small knife it usually goes in my coin pocket.

i'm ambidextrous, but i always carry in my front left pocket. tip up if the knife allows it. i found it kind of gets in the way if you have other things in your pocket and you are trying to pull for example some change out. but i got used to it. i never even notice the knife there until i need it.

a victorinox rescue tool on leather custom sheath on the belt, right side.
a yojimbo 2 on the coin pocket of my jeans. It almost invisible there, tip up.
a benchmade onslaught depending on my mood that day on front left pocket with clip, or front left pocket not clipped, or back left pocket, or inside the pant, IWB, clipped, position changing also according to mood.
And in my key chain a leatherman mini.

Buck 484 or 482 clipped in left front pocket, various rotating 5.5" or less Kabar/Western fixed blade on right hip when off the farm
Buck 484 or 482 deep in left from pocket, Buck 110 in right front pocket, 2 Kabar USMC shorts - one on each hip while working on the farm

Had to go through a couple of variations before settling on the method I carry now.

Used to carry it clipped in the front right pocket. After almost having it taken out accidentally once too many times plus the fact that some clips are noticeable, I then carried it inside the pocket. However, this was quite inconvenient at times when the folder would lie deep in or horizontally which made it harder to extract. Finally, I got a small pouch made of stiff material so that it helped the folder to remain upright for ease of access.

I think my favorite method I've tried is having the folder in a pouch sheath, which is in turn tethered to my belt and hanging down into my right front pocket alongside my wallet. It's really secure, and it stays vertical. If not that, then just clipped to my right front pocket, though I tend to find knife handles more comfortable without a clip...

I've tried a bunch of methods as well:

Front left pocket with a lanyard outside pocket for quicker access.

Back right pocket clipped when I have too much in my front pockets.

Watch pocket when I carry something small (hopefully going to start doing this permanently once I get my dragonfly)

Right hip waistband when I don't want my knife to be easily noticed (if carrying a second knife it'd almost always here)

And of course, clipped in the front right pocket.
