How do you carry your larger Beckers? Like the BK2, BK7, BK9...

I would love a kydex sheath that would work like this. As much as I like this way of carrying my 9, I'm always a little nervous that it's going to fall out. Having a kydex sheath that provided it's own retention in addition to the snap around the handle would be nice.
Well, when I get it worked out, you'll be the first to know. I would imagine that any kydex sheath with a belt loop (or even some paracord and the eyelets on the sheath) would work for this setup as you have it set up. Maybe while I'm waiting for my professionally made 9 sheath to arrive, I'll work on this idea....I've been practicing on the small stuff but maybe it's time to try a larger blade. Be handy to attach the pocket upside down so it'd be right side up when on the pack. Now I'm having all sorts of little synaptic activity.....and I'll have to go to bed soon :(. Soon, very soon.

I don't own any beckers but the best way I've found to carry a big knife is a baldric rig with an adjustable strap so I can wear it slung over the shoulder when hiking and then when in camp I move the paracord to my waist and cinch it up. Then I can use it around camp without it dangling everywhere. Works well but I may just switch from paracord to a 1 inch webbing for more comfort. I frankly can't see how some guys carry the big knife while hiking and I use a wilderness 5 stitch belt.:D

I've only carried the BK2 during hog hunts, so I just tuck it inside my small pack. The rifle in my hands and Benchmade folder in my pocket can handle most chores unless a pig is shot, then I can get out the heavy hardware for butchering once we've stopped.

Doing yardwork, I carry my BK7 on my belt. All of my belts are 5.11 Trainer or Operator belts, so they are 1.75" and have a stiffened insert for handgun carry. No issues there. When I am hiking, it is attached to the MOLLE straps on my backpack. I hardly notice it in either carry situation.

I carry my BK7 in a kydex sheath on a tek-lok from Godspeed Tactical. It's heavy but I always wear a heavy nylon belt and BDU-type pants.

My old Becker Campanion/BK2 still lives in its original Eagle nylon sheath, although I have an aftermarket kydex sheath for it. That sheath holds it way too tight, though, and I rarely use it.

My BK2 is carried in it's factory kydex sheath with a TekLock. I wear it on my right hip high and close against my side (no dangling, I don't like danglers!). It's very snug and secure and isn't in the way when riding in my truck, or seated in a chair.

This is the method I came up with and posted a few months back.

Pass a doubled length of paracord through the top eyelet. Tie the ends with a lanyard knot leaving tails which will aid in pulling the cord through your belt.

Make a loop sized to accept the knot. I used a short run of cobra stitch for this.

Run the knot under your belt and fasten it through the loop. This holds the BK-9 in a perfect crossdraw angle.

Ooh. I really like that paracord idea. I like a crossdraw, and that's how I would carry my Cold Steel Laredo Bowie around before I sold it. Very cool.

kydex with leather frog and paracord leg tie, they ride at the right hip.

my BK7 rides in a kydex drop leg sheath with a leg-strep. On a regular belt comfortable getting into cars and works great with the hip-belt of my large Berghaus.
