I have a RC-5 hanging on my belt with the legstrap around my leg.

and a RC-3 still not shure how to carry that one maybe on my backpack sholderstrap.

let me know how you carry yours always nice to hear new idea's.

Best Regards,

Jerry

I know it's not very impressive, but I've been carrying my tan Izula in its little sheath in my back pocket. And sitting down very carefully.;)

I keep my Izula in my pocket with the cord around a belt loop.

My most carried RAT is my RC-4, thats on my belt with a Tek-Lok alot of the time.

My RC-6, I made up my own "ghettoMolle" for it and it rides on my thigh, but admittedly, I've only carried it once. Here's a pic.

Education please. How does the Tek-Lok work exactly? I thought it was for RC-3 sheaths, but it's clearly on your RC-4.

What I'm searching for is a way to carry the RC-4 horizontal on a belt. It's my favorite carry option. Will the Tek-Lok work for this?

I've even been toying with the idea of engineering some ballistic nylon straps to serve as belt loops secured with the existing Chicago screws..

I'd love to know this too. I've been using the molle locks for horizontal carry, but would definitely prefer the tek-lok.

Sounds like a cheap date. :D

10beers & Rev,
I use a Tek Lock on the Izula sheath, for horizontal carry, with no problems. The TL should work on an RC-4 but I'm not sure how it will balance. I set up a Greco MST/Survival sheath this way and the handle drooped too much.

Maybe I'll have some play time this week and see how a TL fits an RC-4 sheath in different positions.

Yea, A Tek-lok can be set up in just about any configuration. Most kydex and thermoplastic sheaths are set up to fit a Tek-lok, it mounting hole pattern is the knife industry standard.

You'll have no problem mounting horizontal with a Tec-lok but like Ah Pook said, with the weight of the RC-4, you could have some droop in the handle.

Jeff sells them through the RAT cutlery site for a good price:

TEK-LOC are awesome,I prefer them over anything...due to I like my knife on my belt and knife sheath can be removed if needed with out removing one's belt !

I like the TEK-LOC option as well, it's very easy to configure the knife to the method carry you prefer (vertical, horizontal, cross draw, ect.) and fits large leather belts like mine, which a lot of MOLLE systems don't.

Personally though, I usually carry my RC3 either IWB with the boot clip or with the parcord made into a belt loop. As for the Izula, I'll either carry it in my back pocket or with a metal spring clip in my right front pocket. It's one of the easiest ways for me to carry, and they go rather unnoticed this way. And that's a good thing, since my boss seems petrified of any sharp edged object.

I carry my Izula in my right front pocket with my Case swayback jack, and my RC-3 is on the shoulder strap of my Malaga gearslinger. Once I get my RC-6 I'll probably just stuff it through the "tunnel" on the outside of the bag. The RC-5 might find a home just riding on my side, or maybe onto the side of my bag.

Izula is always in my pocket

My RC-3 is on a lil shoulder rig.

That reminds me, the RC3 rides very well in the MercHarness too. Since it's slim there isn't any noticeable bulge to give it away.

I dont have the RC 3 yet, but my Shrapnel come with the tek lok and I carry it on horizontal way, it hold vere well this heavy knife, I guess you dont have trouble with the RC 3 been holded by the tek lok.

Shotgunner, what did you use for the ghettomolle? it looks good and makes for a nice drop down.

Pretty simple setup really.

flat, unmolded peice of kydex, cut to fit, with some heavy duty webbing set into a loop of the desired length and then bolted with chicago screws through the kydex, like a sammich with the webbing as the bread, kydex as the meat. I just shaped the kydex a bit for a cleaner look.

Still looking for a better retention strap setup, but the double sided velcro is working for now.

 Nice work Brother! I won't call it ghetto, it serves the purpose and looks solid. Kudos!

I carry the RC-3 almost daily inside the waistband in the RAT sheath. I fix the boot clip to it and tuck it inside the pants so the boot clip is on the outside of the belt. It's 100% concealable with just a t-shirt or sweater over it. (This happens to be an important consideration to me.)

I do like the shoulder rig, though, if concealment is not an issue. Cool.

i have seen some good ideas but i think im going for the paracord and atachit to my belt
as it is easy adjustable between horisontal and vertical possition.
any one who usses the RC-3 the same way? and won't the knive fall out off the scheath?
