How do you carry your sebbie?

For EDC my large regular is clip to my right front pocket without the lanyard.

I use a CRK pouch when I'm in suits or dresspants.

Small classic for EDC is clipped IWB just behind my left hip bone, no lanyard.

Small regular in a kydex neck sheath for on my bike.

Large (& lanyard) goes clipless into a CRK pouch horizontal on the belt for in the woods.

I happen to leave the lanyards on, but what the heck... take it off if it's in the way. Reeve has instructions on his site on how to retie that knot (it's a hangman's noose, but he calls it the more PC "righthand coil knot").

It's at the bottom, under FAQS, or here:

Sometimes, with dress pants, I'll wear it clipped, and then rotate the lanyard inward if it looks too redneck for, say, a meeting.

I occasionally use the pocket clip to carry my Sebbies. More often, though, I take the clip off, take off the lanyard, too, and use a lanyard of my own making that clips to a belt loop. It has a carabiner on one end (the belt loop end) and a quick release hook on the other end. That way, the knife is easily and quickly accessible, but with pratically zero possibility of loss.

Clipped to the front or back pocket without the lanyard. I find it gets in the way. Bonus with the Calvalry is that the cabachon (sp?)provides a nice surface for the thumb to pull the knife out.

I usually carry my plain large classic in a Benchmade sheath placed horizontally on my belt (strong side near appendix). In this configuration, the knife can be deployed fairly quick even from a sitting position in a car or at a desk without any untoward movements. (The knife is placed in the sheath with the pivot end out and with the thumbstud side up--let me know if you need further instructions). The sheath protects your knife as well as anything else that it may come into contact with if it were clipped to your pocket. It also saves your pocket from the wear and tear of countless clipping and unclipping cycles. I remove and never use the lanyard in EDC urban situations. (I only sometimes use a lanyard if I'm carrying a folder while fishing or on the trail--in which case it would be a cheaper knife, not the Sebenza).

Sometimes, I alternately carry my Leatherman SideClip in the sheath and clip the Sebenza (or other EDC) in my right rear pocket.

I will never carry a Sebenza using the clip again, after having mine open up slightly in my pocket several times. You only have to stab/slice your hand a couple of times to get the hint. Now, whether it's large or small, I use some sort of leather pouch. Large, I carry on my belt in a custom Kenny Rowe leather pouch. My small Regular Sebenza goes with me everyday, carried in a leather slip pouch.

I carry my small "Line Drive" Sebenza in a canted leather sheath made by G2. I received the G2 sheath in Nov 2000, and it has been one of the best "knife" purchases I have ever made. I exchanged the laynard for one tied with some multi-colored (blue, yellow, black)cord.

I've now converted my new sebbie to the method used by DanishViking. I take the knife with me all the time now and fit a longer leash on when I'm going out on the boat, The cord can be a bit of a fiddle but better that than have it over the side in 45M of water.

Nice... judging by the sheath ( and the background ) I am guessing G2 ?? Did you just get that one from Gary ?

Reason I ask is I just got a Large Seb from him and I am thinking that Seb in the sheath could be the one he sold me..... she photographs well.

Though I have taken and smoothed her out with some 400 then 600 grit wet sandpaper and she will be getting a date with the glass beads in the morning.

I carry a Small Sebenza (Unique Spider Web Design, Hematite Inlay and Double Thumb Lugs) in my left front pocket, with the pocket clip removed and the clip insert in its place; lanyard intact.

I leave it in the leather slip sheath so with the lanyard I can pull it out of my left front pocket with my right hand while holding onto my pocket to leave the sheath inside.

I also carry a Gold and Diamond Mnandi CPM S30V)in my shirt (like a pen).

Thats correct. He made this one for my Celtic Sebbie and it very well may be your Sebbie in there. I know he had one on hand for fitting.:)

yup that's her.... I had this horizontal sheath still but no Sebby... I told G2 I needed a Sheath for my SnG and not only is he going to be doing a sheath for my SnG soon he also helped me fill that empty Sebby sheath......

I am Sebenza less right now :( but will probably rectify that some day, but now I'm working towards fixing an old knife handle...:)

I carry my large Sebbies in a the old style beltsheath. But when my new wood inlay comes, I think I will have to have Lifter make me a new one.
