How do you carry your Victorinox Classic?

A Huntsman is better suited when travelling or hiking I suppose

I love the Huntsman; the saw blade makes it the ideal Companion to my "other" folding knife while hiking, the corkscrew makes it an ideal companion for casual carry for those impromptu bottles of wine...

I carry a Classic (black) in my pocket along with a Cadet every day.
The scales get abused and I'm fine with that. This is a tool that gets used in some way every single day. For f***'s sake, it's a ten dollar knife. It's not a safe queen! Toss one in your pocket and don't worry about it.
I usually have a few on hand: one for the pocket, one for my traveling tool bag, etc.
I've given some away, had one stolen from my luggage (thanx, Boston Delta baggage monkeys) and had one confiscated by TSA in Oregon last March. My last one, gone! I was bereft!
I flew to Florida. Two days later I found myself at a Target somewhere in Mississippi and they had Classics on sale for ten bucks or so. Bought a handful. Most of those have been given away. Time to re-stock!

In any case, a Classic belongs in your pocket, on your keychain, anywhere it is accessible. I use mine every single day. I rely on a simple tool complement and the Classic is greatly valued and much beloved.

Scratch it up!

Cheers!

I like your attitude, Luna!:thumb up:

If we ever form the Cult of the Classic, you need to be one of the Cult's officers!

Thanks, Jacknife, it's an honor just to be nominated!
I've used my Classic several times today already. Love the lil guy!

Cheers!

I have a little ID holder for my student ID and it has a compartment I keep little odds and ends in it. almost always my classic is in there. I don't worry about scuffing it up, but the fact that I know where it is is rather helpful. The scissors and nail file are rather helpful to have around when something small is needed.

Had two classics when I was younger. One I ended up losing a scale but that doesn't affect the knife's ability to work. The other I carried on my keys without issue until I lost it one day when I removed it from my keys to use it. Now I carry a Jetsetter III on my keys, same basic design as the Classic. I have no concerns about it getting damaged, actually I find they hold up quite well.

I keep it my keys clipped in my front right pocket to keep them from rattling. This S-biener lets me remove my Vic or torch relatively easily as well.

Don't have a Classic. have a Swiss-Champ. Carry it in a custom made pouch on my belt. Way TOO much on my key chain what with the Kubaton & all

I've had one on my keychain for about 15 years now. In that time I've only had to replace the knife twice after the scales finally broke from banging around with the keys. Even with the broken scales, the Classic still worked just fine (except for the toothpicks that got lost when the scales broke). Actually have a Manager now, which I prefer since the pen has proven very useful.

I have an Alox Mini Champ that currently rides on the keys. Don't know why, really, I rarely use the array of tools on it other than the scissors. Classic SD would be fine for key ring use. If it were going to be my only pocket tool I think I'd go with the Rambler for the Phillips/bottle opener tool. I had a Rambler but gave it to my wife. Any of the 58mm SAKs are fine, just pick your tool preference.

I carried a Classic on my keychain for about a year, and it was none the worse for wear at the end of that time AFAIK. But, like John, I now carry a MiniChamp instead of a Classic, but mine is celidor, not Alox, and I don't carry it with my keys anymore. Instead, I carry it hanging inside my left front pocket using a little "pocket hanger" BF member davek14 made.

Also like John, I infrequently use tools on the MiniChamp that the Classic doesn't have. One exception is the pen; that has come in handy numerous times!

Love it!!!

Looks like a knife that has the ever lovin' crappola used out of it, like a tool should be.:thumbup::thumb up:

Thank you - I agree. I get a kick out of people who don't want a scratch on a blade or wear on the gun they carry. I use things. I don't mis-use. I used to have knives that I carried some of the time that I was sooo carefull of. Now I use them. My new Benchmade 471-1 (three weeks old) has been used to cut packing boxes and dropped a couple of times on concrete. Now it looks really good - much better than when new.

I carry a alox minichamp on my key ring. If I leave home without any knives or tools I will always at least have the minichamp.

Picked up a blue classic with a Air Force logo instead of Vic cross at a Vic store in my area, I don't have pics, Gary

I'm a little late to the party, but count me in with the CKCC*
